The above mentioned/listed events are for both men and women and students are encouraged to practice continuously to enable them to compete with students from other technical colleges effectively.
Athletics usually takes place on March of every year and each institution prepares and presents their teams to the national athletics competitions at a venue and on specific days as communicated by kettiso national office.
NOTE: all students men and women are encouraged to nature their sporting talent by practicing continuously.
TERM TWO: MAY TO JULY EVERY YEAR
BALL GAMES COMPETITIONS
The following are the events which are normally competed for during the regional and national kettiso ball games competitions;
- Football men
- Leg ball women
- Basket ball men/women
- Hand ball men/women
- Netball women
- Volleyball men/women
NOTE : ball games competitions are done at two levels i.e.at regional and national level,once again the students are encourage to form teams and train seriously with the help the respective coaches.
TERM THREE: SEPTEMBER –NOVEMBER OF EVERY YEAR
MICHUKI ANNUAL SPORTS WEEK
Term three of every year the institute through the dean’s office usually organizes for annual sports week to enable the department to identify talented students in various events both athletics, indoor games and ball games.
The other objective is to bring cohesion and harmony among students taking different course by randomly grouping the students into four teams as follows:
- Falcons
- Indomitable
- Golden jets
- Guardians
The winners in every category and in individual events are rewarded by the institution by awarding trophies and monetary rewards.
Students are encouraged to seek clarification and any assistance where necessary from the sports office any time.
